Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian performer, actress and dancer born on 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. Her debut was in 201. She played a lesser part on the show Home and Away. Her role was selected to play the lead role in the soap opera in Australia Home and Away as her performance in this small part was so impressive that the casting agents wanted to cast her in different parts. The actress did however audition for the role but she wasn't selected. Instead, during the same episode she was cast in the role of Cassie Turner, an unruly teenager in foster care. Both the critics and fans who watched the show have praised her performance.
