Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and writer who was awarded numerous awards. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. Born and raised in a family of artists in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world fame as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. In just three films, MacGraw was declared as the top female performer in box office history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has married thrice.
