Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she reached the age of adulthood due to the impact stress might be able to have on their daughter. Perry says she didn't want to become an actor during high school but decided to take up acting as a social activity while at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, moved in New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to find theater work. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on the ABC political drama Scandal in which her father was the main character. The actress also portrayed in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The character was chosen via auditions though she had a close relationship with the show.
