Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco describes her music as folk-rock and alternative. But it includes influences like punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award winner. As one of first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while students at the same school. Her father is of Italian origin, while her mother hails from Montreal. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. This song appeared on her album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995.
