Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese origins, however her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from the Southern part of the family. Her parents divorced when she was age two. Her family consisted of her mother, who worked as a pilot in the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved often. During that time she participated in many local productions of theater as well as becoming an Japanese fashion model. Olivia, who had moved with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actor was determined to pursue her goal after the family moved back to the United States. After a few small roles in her professional career, she took an extremely promising direction after she secured the part in the role of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television show Beyond the Break (2006) and the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts the popular podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" as well as "The Daily Nut". The sport of surfing is a passion for her and she has been practicing it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). She also has a black belt for taekwondo. In the year she turned two old, her mother got married again but this time to a member of the US Air Force. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather was a member.
